Directions

From I-65 South. Get off at Exit 252 and go straight across highway 31 to LORNA Rd. Follow Lorna for about 2 miles. Aldridge Botanical Gardens is on the left side of the road right past the 7th Day Adventist Church.

From I-459 South. Get off at Exit 13B and turn left onto Hwy. 31 S.  Turn left onto Lorna Rd. just past the Riverchase Galleria.  Continue about a mile and Aldridge Botanical Gardens will be on the right.

Parking
Public parking and parking for tour buses is available at the entrance.

Accessibility

Public restrooms and walkways are handicap accessible.

Garden Etiquette

In order for everyone to enjoy the Gardens, we ask that the following requests be observed:

• Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult when visiting the Gardens.
• Groups of 10 or more must notify the Aldridge Botanical Gardens' facility manager before planning an outing in the Gardens.  Due to frequent events, we are unable to accommodate unexpected groups.  Please call 682-8019, ext. 5, M-F, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. to determine if group can be acccommodated.
• Aldridge Botanical Gardens is part of a living ecosystem and as such the visitor may occasionally see a snake near the lake or woodland stream.  Visitors enter the Gardens at their own risk.
• Please stay on paths.  Do no climb on trees and shrubs.  No one should venture off pathways due to plant damage and destruction (includes any photography, at any time).
• For your safety and enjoyment, this is a walking garden.  Special care should be exercised in areas where garden maintenance or other work is being done.
• Most areas are accessible to those with handicaps.  Support animals are allowed.
• Pets are not allowed in the Gardens.
• Please do not feed the ducks or geese.
• Only emergency vehicles and those making deliveries are allowed to drive through the gate.
• All plants and wildlife are protected.  Collecting of plants or picking of any flowers is strictly prohibited.
• Bicycles, skateboards, scooters, skates and other riding toys are not allowed in the Gardens.
• Picnic tables are located at the Boathouse and in the picnic area near the entry gate.  Fires of any kind are prohibited.
• Fishing or swimming is not allowed in the lake, except groups for fishing by prior approval of the Executive Director.
• Aldridge Botanical Gardens is a non-smoking area.
• Commercial Photographers (defined as a photographer who is paid for his/her services) will be charged a fee of $50 per photo shoot (two hours/up to four subjects/$5.00 fee for each additional subject).  A scheduled appointment and fee payment must be done in advance.  Photography memberships are available. 
• No wedding photographs or photographs for large groups will be allowed to be taken while a wedding event is taking place.  All photographers will be required to leave the gardens at regular closing time.  Weekend photo sessions must be cleared with the facility manager.
