Bring your "best friend" to enjoy Aldridge Botanical Gardens along with other furry friends at their first annual “Bring Your Dog to the Gardens” Day.  Admission is $10 per dog of which $3 will benefit the Shelby County Humane Society.  In addition to enjoying a little fresh air before the heat comes along, current and future dog owners will benefit from meeting the many pet-related resources and professionals present at the event, such as vets, groomers, rescuers and doggy retailers.  See a real war dog that is helping to promote the Alabama War Dogs Memorial.  And, local celebrity “Babe Ruff” from the Birmingham Barons will be on hand between 1:30 and 2:30.
