I Live in South Florida...
Q: I Live in South Florida. The local Walmart Nursery is selling hydrangeas and I would like to know if they will flourish in my garden? I previously had several varieties of these wonderful bushes in New York and was very successful with them.

A:   Most Hydrangeas require a cool dormant season.  We (Eddie and Kay Aldridge) just returned from
Leu Gardens in Orlando .  There were some Hydrangea macrophylla there.  The lack of dormant hours could be a problem in South Florida .  Check with the local quality nursery for answers.
